Measurements carried out directly on the structure to characterise the physical properties of materials under actual site conditions.
Why perform ultrasonic testing?
- Enables accurate mapping of the internal condition of concrete and the identification of damaged areas, including deep-seated defects.
- Can easily be combined with non-destructive testing methods to provide a comprehensive understanding of the inspected structure.
- Remains applicable in restricted access conditions, provided that at least one surface of the inspected element is accessible.
